Reynolds, who is out promoting his new movie, The Proposal, claims that he struggled with finding the perfect words to put in a text message because he was limited on space.

He said: “The hardest part was to compress all of that love, all of that joy into just one text message. And then it was just hitting send.”

Earlier this week Megan made headlines for slamming pretty boys like Zac Efron and Rob Pattinson, and now she’s moved onto the pretty girls–well actually one girl specifically–Scarlett Johansson!

In the June issue of Esquire magazine, Megan basically slams Scarlett for trying to be intellectual during interviews.

Megan tells Esquire: “I don’t want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson – who I have nothing against,” she says, “but I don’t want to have to go on talk shows and pull out every single SAT word I’ve every learned to prove, like, ‘Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak.’ I don’t want to have to do that. I resent having to prove that I’m not a retard – but I do. And part of it is my own fault.”

She adds, “I’m just really confident sexually, and I think that sort of oozes out of my pores…It’s just there. It’s something I don’t have to turn on.”

Meow! Let’s get these two in a mud wresting ring and get it televised. Two of the sexiest women in the industry wresting should make for good entertainment. Which team are you on? Team Megan or Team Scarlett?

So Scarlett decided to write an article for The Huffington Post responding to her new “superhero shape” and how much the media has exaggerated her workout routines. She writes:

“Since dedicating myself to getting into “superhero shape,” several articles regarding my weight have been brought to my attention. Claims have been made that I’ve been on a strict workout routine regulated by co-stars, whipped into shape by trainers I’ve never met, eating sprouted grains I can’t pronounce and ultimately losing 14 pounds off my 5′3″ frame. Losing 14 pounds out of necessity in order to live a healthier life is a huge victory. I’m a petite person to begin with, so the idea of my losing this amount of weight is utter lunacy. If I were to lose 14 pounds, I’d have to part with both arms. And a foot. I’m frustrated with the irresponsibility of tabloid media who sell the public ideas about what we should look like and how we should get there.”

Scarlett goes on to write about the real problem facing women in our country…eating disorders. She says, “How are we supposed to view articles highlighting celebrity cellulite and not sulk in the mirror, imagining a big red arrow pointing to various parts of our bodies? The media has packaged for us an unhealthy idea that one must suffer loss, be in the middle of a nervous breakdown, feel pressure from friends or coworkers, battle divorce or have a bitter dispute with an ex in order to get into acceptable bikini shape.”

She wraps up her rant with a stern message to tabloids, writing,” I’m not normally the type to dignify toilet paper rags with a response, but in this case I feel it’s my responsibility to comment. In a way, I’m glad some dummy journalist (and I use the term “journalist” loosely) is banking on my “deflating” so that I can address the issue straight from my healthy heart.”

Jennifer Aniston on what food to avoid on a date:
Never order a cherry tomato! It’s not fun,” says the star. “I was on a date with this guy … there was a cherry tomato and he bit into it and it was all over my white dress. So that was just one side note. No cherry tomatoes!”

Aniston on media attention surrounding her dating life:
“You could end the date and shake hands with them and realize it doesn’t work, and all of a sudden you’re a new couple.”

Scarlett Johansson on successful relationships:
“I think I’ve found that relationships are only going to work out when you’re really yourself and you’re not posturing in any way,” she says. “You’re just honest with who you are. … There’s a difference between compromising something and compromising yourself.”

Drew Barrymore on being a celebrity and dating:
“I think it’s the same as high school or inter-office dating. It’s the same feeling,” she says. “What we deal with is strange and surreal, but the emotions are the same as anyone.”

Sexiness, it turns out, is not something Scarlett takes all that seriously. Acting? You bet. Relationships? Absolutely. Politics? Don’t get her started. But, she says, “I don’t normally think about being sexy. I think, Do I look presentable? Do I look sane?” As if to make the point, she’s shown up to her Cosmo — Cosmo! — interview wearing glasses, an oversize button-down, and flats, her hair swept up into a demure ponytail.

But the truth is, even dressed like a schoolteacher, Scarlett has an innate and magnetic sensuality. That quality is on display in this month’s Woody Allen comedy, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, in which she plays a sexually adventurous American tourist (critics have buzzed about the film, often mentioning her onscreen lip-lock with Penélope Cruz).

In May, she released her first album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, a compilation of Tom Waits cover tunes that showcases her sultry voice. Next up, Scarlett takes on the role of a woman confused about love in a romantic comedy based on the bestselling book He’s Just Not That Into You, hitting theaters this October.

The couple made the big announcement on Monday (5May08) a year after they hooked up, following 31-year-old Reynolds’ split from singer Alanis Morissette. And he hints he will be encouraging his 23-year-old fiancé down the aisle and into the maternity ward in a hurry.

Reynolds says, “I do want a child at some point. “I feel like I need to fulfill the genetic paradigm, the destiny of it all.”

The album contains 10 Waits covers and one Johansson original (”Song For Jo”). It was produced by TV On The Radio guitarist David Andrew Sitek (Foals, Liars). David Bowie makes guest appearances on “Falling Down” and “Fannin’ Street.” The disc also features Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner and members of Baltimore, Md. indie rockers Celebration.

Johansson originally intended to cover standards from different artists, but later decided to only record songs by Waits.

“His melodies are so beautiful and his voice is so distinct,” she told Billboard.com. “I sent him some of the early, early recordings, and he said, ‘Go ahead.’� I’ve heard he’s very pleased.”

Another young actress, Zooey Deschanel, recently cut a disc with indie folk star M. Ward as She & Him. The microphone stand-wielding Jared Leto is another recent actor/rock star example. Keanu Reeves and Russell Crowe also tried to make forays into the rock world with their respective bands, Dogstar and Thirty Odd Foot Of Grunts.

Going the other way, Johansson is rumoured to have just become engaged to actor Ryan Reynolds. He was previously engaged to Alanis Morissette — a singer, songwriter and musician who’s tried her hand at acting.

Just hours after the actress confirmed her engagement to Canadian star Ryan Reynolds; Johansson, 23, took to the red carpet at the city’s Metropolitan Museum of Art – alongside a galaxy of stars including Kate Moss, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Julia Roberts and George Clooney.

But the actress had to pose for photographers with two other men – designers Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Reynolds, 31, is currently in Massachusetts shooting aptly titled new movie The Proposal.

The Lost In Translation actress looked delighted as she showed off her new diamond ring for the first time as she attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City last night.

The 23-year-old and Canadian beau Reynolds, 31, started dating in March 2007 – a month after the Just Friends actor ended his three-year engagement to singer Alanis Morissette.

Johansson’s representative Marcel Pariseau confirmed the couple’s engagement to People magazine on Monday.

She said: “They’re both thrilled.”

Pariseau declined to say exactly when the couple got engaged, but admitted it was recently. They are yet to set a wedding date.

Johansson initially denied reports in February that the couple were getting married after she was spotted looking at wedding gowns at the Monique Lhuillier boutique in LA.

Before she starting dating Reynolds last year, Johansson was in a two-year relationship with her Black Dahlia co-star Josh Hartnett and previously dated actor/singer Jared Leto.

Johansson’s debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head is released on May 20 and she has two movies Vicky Cristina Barcelona and He’s Just Not That Into You coming out this summer.

She is currently filming New York, I Love You in her hometown of NYC, while Reynolds is currently making romantic comedy The Proposal with Sandra Bullock four hours away in Boston.

No details have yet emerged on how Reynolds, 31, popped the question to the 23-year-old actress (who can now add “singer” to her skill set). Rumors, though, are circulating that the two actually have been engaged for a little while and are only now making it known.
